This is a more laid back performance from Karen Forcano and Ricardo Vega. It has less tricks, and seems to have more dept in terms of the styles being presented.

Once I found their World Salsa Championship video, I’ve been stalking them across the internet trying to find everything they’re about.

Enjoy, and share any videos you find interesting in the comments below.

Yusimi Moya Rodriguez presents us with a beautiful performance in honor of the Yoruba God Yemaya.

This dance goes back to the roots of latin dancing where dancers and musicians came together in a community to give worship and tell stories about the people’s history.

The dance seems simple, and repetitive, but it carries with it so much history and culture that you would be blown away. One day I’ll write about Yemaya and her story; but, today I want you to enjoy the video and even try some of the moves yourself.

They may look simple, but there are a lot of small details in her body movement that would require some practice.

Here is the video

Wow.. I had no idea who these two were today, but I am impressed. They are together, on the music, and they just kill it. Karen ForcanKaren Forcano y Ricardo Vega at Peru Salsa Congress 2014 6-15-2014o y Ricardo Vega are “Professional” dancers. There are so many tricks in this routine, you have to imagine how many hours they put in to mastering each one so they could hit every part of the music while making everything look easy.

The moment I saw the beginning pose, I could tell this was not going to be an ordinary routine. Strenght, speed, precision, flexibility… it all comes together in this beautiful performance from the Peru Salsa Congress 2014.

I would watch these two, because they are World Salsa Champions in the 2012 Cabaret Division.

Thank You Karen and Ricardo for the amazing show.

Salsa 2nd Performance @Scala London England 6-14-2014bThese Dancers have a strong beginning and I can tell by looking at the pose that they have strong legs to keep themselves stable throughout the routine. Their costumes are beautiful and reminds me of the professional, and elegantly designed costumes used in the ballroom community.

They have some fun tricks, and while the video is playing make sure to look at their faces. They really bring the crowd in to the show by letting their excitement come out.

Sadly, I don’t know their names :(

If you find out, let me know.
